is one of the oldest and most popular casino style games that is
still in wide use today. Roulette is also a very unique game when
compared to the other modern table games whereby it employs a mechanical
device as the main element of the game. The Roulette wheel, which
you will distinctly find at one end of the table has what we call
a "hollow". The hollow of the wheel is where you will find numbered
pockets ranging from zero to thirty-six.
Wagers in Roulette are placed on the table in any of the marked
boxes. You will find a variety of different boxes and winning combinations
on the table. This is called the table layout. You can place wagers
on many different areas of the table layout at the same time. (All
possible bets are outlined below with their corresponding payouts.)
The wheel determines the game's outcome. While the wheel is spinning,
the ball (traditionally ivory) is spun round the wheel in the opposite
direction the wheel is spinning. Once wagers are placed and the
game begins the ball will spin around the wheel until it loses speed
and finally comes to rest in one of the numberd slots within the
hollow. The number of the slot where the ball rests is the winning
number for that game.
The odds and minimum/maximum bets on the table are as follows:
||A bet on a single number.
||A bet on two adjacent
||A bet on any 3 numbers on a horizontal line.
||A bet on a block of 4
||A bet on 6 numbers, comprising two adjacent
||A bet on one of 3 vertical
||A bet on 12 numbers, being low, middles or high.
||Any bet on even/odd, red/black,
Table limits may change from time to time.
